Paul Klee (1879-1940) From April 15th to July 19th 2010
Paul Klee is a Swiss painter born in Bern a the end of the 19th century that is often assimilated with the expressionist, surrealist and cubist movement. Major figure of the modern art, his work is characterized by a geometry of subjects and a great lack of objectivity, that will characterize later many artist from the second part of the 19th century. As of 1920, he taught painting at the Bauhaus, the famous German Institute of Arts and Trades, until it was dismantled by the Nazis in 1933.
