The Résidence du Louvre - 2nd floor - is ideally situated for tourism or business. The Jean-Jacques Rousseau street follows the side of the famous Louvre Museum and its Four-Sided Square, where still echoes its past glory. You will be a few steps away from the famous and enjoyable Tuileries Gardens which housed the sparks of the French Revolution. But why enumerate all the treasures enclosed in this neighbourhood ? The owner of the apartment has put a lot of effort to ensure your optimal comfort. Accommodation for two to three people is guaranteed, indeed there is a double bed and a sofa-bed (one person). In addition, you will find: a bathroom with multi-jet shower, central heating, a fully equipped kitchen (tableware and accessories included) and cable TV. Thanks to free unlimited local calls (and international calls to home phones), internet access and the mobile phone provided (credits not included) you will be able to plan your visit very easily.
The many restaurants just around the corner and luxury shops of the Saint-Honore street will offer pleasant alternatives for romantic dinners or family activities. For sport lovers, the Club Med Gym is located in a street parallel to the Jean-Jacques Rousseau street, where the famous philosopher of the Siècle des Lumières (XVIIIth century) used to live.

Open from Monday to Saturday until 20:00, this supermarket offers a small butcher's corner, bakery bread, hot prepared dishes and the usual food products. Note that home delivery is free starting from 70 euros purchase. Very convenient after a long journey, the number of bottles (soft drinks, milk, etc.) is however limited for this kind of deliveries.
Gosselin bakery

Located at the corner of the Louvre street and the Saint-Honoré street, the bakery/pastry received the Best Baguette 1st prize at the Grand Prix de Paris. This very renowned bakery even supplied the Élysée Palace (house of the President) under Jacques Chirac’s presidency.

We particularly recommend you the blanquette de veau and pot-au-feu, symbols of the French gastronomy. The menu prices start at 20 €, if you take "à la carte" allow between 20 and 35 €.

Anecdote
The so-called Jean-Jacques Rousseau street takes its name from the famous French writer who lived there in the 18th century. Jean de la Fontaine, as well an exceptional writer, also elected domicile in this street. In 1695, the famous poet died in the hôtel Derval (the street was then called the Plâtrière street), which has since been replaced by the Post Office of the Louvre.
We wanted to be close to the Louvre, the CityRama office where we had some tours booked and a metro station. This apartment was located perfectly. We loved getting fresh croissants every morning from just down the road in the morning and having a comfortable place to recover & freshen up in the late afternoon before heading out to a nearby restaurant at night.
The apartment was well equipped and the internet access very useful.
